DIY rearview camera??
more of an Idea really, my new DoubleDIN has a video cable to hook up a rearview camera. Its a femal RCA style cable. Is there anyway to possible take an old digital camera and rig it up to work with it?
Obviously I'd make it look good, I'd probably hide it behind my clear plate cover or something, I'm just wondering if what I'm asking is even possible, I dont dabble with electronics too often

cant beat cheap here my friend:
CAR REAR VIEW BACKUP NIGHT VISION CAMERA WIDE ANGLE 170 | eBay
I got two cameras on my last car, around $15-20 a piece, one on front bumper one on rear, front for curbs obviously and rear for backing up at night, and it couldnt be easier to wire, they come with the rca cables so you just plug them into the back of your DVD player radio that has the inputs.
hope that helps, I had the same camera for $18 that my dad had on his 2011 Lexus ES350, literally EXACTLY the same. Looked the same visually, screen output was identical, his system was $1000 or something mine was less than $20.
