My friend, your about to meet the metal bracket from hell, most of us have already gone into battle with it, now I guess its your turn to put on the warpaint
Behind the deck you'll see some plastic moldings around a metal brace, the one that the white rubber piece from the back of your stock deck was resting in. Cut the plastic away from around the bracket, carefull not to go to high, those are your heater ducts above it, when the bracket is visable from one side to the other you will see 2 bolts on either side but yet just behind the bracket, these are what holding it in, removing them is not for the faint of heart, there a bitch to get at and theres plenty of sharp edges to hack your hands up while your trying. I got fed up and cut mine out, you can use a dremel, or I went with tin snips to remove mine, not one of my brighter moves. Anyway cut it out and the deck will go in just fine.
Heres a picture of the bracket I'm talking about

Consider yourself one of the lucky ones, it sucked

I think the easiest way would be with an air ratchet, but since most people don't have compressor's and air tools laying around , chances are they will be using a regular ratchet.
BTW There 7mm bolts that hold them in same size as the ones holding the HU in
Good Luck

u can but the metal piece is its rear support. If ur thinking of ever putting the stock deck back in i would remove the metal piece rather then destroy it. the plastic is just cosmetic for the most part so cutting that isnt an issue. But i dont think u would have any problems with the stock deck being to heavy for just the front screws
