Well yesterday I successfully installed a pioneer dvd touchscreen HU in my buddy's SS. The wiring harness he got created an interesting problem. He now has 2 door chimes. Theres is the original chime and one that plays through the speakers. I want to kill one of them it doesnt really matter which one. I need some help and ideas on how to go about that.

If I'm not mistaken, the 05s had a speaker inside the gauge cluster for the turn signal ticking, it's possible it also serves as the door chimes. If that's the case, you could pull the cluster out and disconnect that speaker.

i believe the door chime has always been in the driver door speaker....

^^^ not in 05-06's we have the built in chimes 07+ has chimes thru the speaker
