Make a big POP! when you turn the car/radio off?
Bad ground, bad RCA's, bad luck.
need more info if you want a better answer
how does your amp interface with your stock deck?
what size amp?
what size wire?
where is it grounded to?
If a train leaves Dallas going 52mph at 11am and the Bush twins are in the back car already drunk ...... just wanted to see if you were still paying attention

not a pop, just a big base hit lasts for about 3 seconds
amp gets signal from deck through rear speakers + and - 's ran through high level inputs. amp is a mtx 6001 new style, pwr n gnd wire are 4awg, spkr wire from amp to subs is 12awg, spkr wire from spkrs to high level inputs is 14awg. ground is connected to the same spot the battery is grnded... sorry for all the apreviations but iam eating and typing with one hand...
Also this only happens when i ingage the starter

6 in one half dozen in the other, big bass hit, pop, its all the same. Sounds like your sub is going to blow up right?
If your grounded to the same spot the batt is, it should be fine, as long as the ground is 24-30 inches long (30" being the max)you might want to move your ground somewhere else and see if it still happens, that way you can see for sure if its the problem or not, but I think it might be the high level input, how did you go about getting the remote turn on taken care of? Did you just run it from the batt?
In any case you might want to pick up a line output converter, it will convert to RCA's, give you a bit more power.
there is a device that is made just to get rid of those pops, bangs and engine hum, its not that much money and if it solves he problem then its $15-20 well spent, there are several different kinds from different companys heres one just so you have visual reference

Your wiring is good 4 gauge + & - 12, and 14 gauge speaker wire is exactly what you wanted. If you attempt to move the ground try the bolts that hold the ant. in (passenger side, in the back up high) theres is a bracket that holds the ant in with 2 10mm bolts holding in, have one of my amps grounded there, works fine, but then again so does the one your using, but when toubleshooting its not about finding the problem so much as it is about eliminating whats not the problem, much easier when the problem presents itself by default.
Now I'm no installer, just have a serious addiction to car audio, but I think when you run high level imputs from an amplified source its bound to cause feedback, I'm not positive about that, the GURU is an installer he would know for sure, most people I see around here that stayed with the stock head unit went with the line output converter or something along those lines. The remote turn on seems like such a small thing but can be a large pain in the ass.
You'll have to excuse my spelling/typing what you guys don't know is that I'm really 8 years old and can't see the full keyboard up on the desk (kidding)

my remote wire is connected to the wipers fuse through an "Add a Circut(sp)" fuse tapp...
And i think i may have found the problem, still not sure on how its relevant tho... this only happens when my alarm system is active, not armed, active, if i put it into sleep mode (valet) this doesnt happen...
hmmmm?

I believe there is an amp on wire from the stock HU called "Radio on" in the pinout sticky. It appears to only go between the amp and the radio.
Try tapping into that.
