Expensive wiring harness...

So, i called Visions electronics a few weeks ago about getting a wiring harness for the 2007 SS-SC. I went to pick it up yesterday, and they said it was $120. So i questioned it and asked it if was the Onstar one, cause i don't have Onstar. They told me that one was $140.
WTF? $120 for a piece of plastic and a few wires?
Is it because of the factory Pioneer system in it? Or are they just crazy?

If thats for real, i'll just 3D print my own connector!

Yeah, but yours won't work on an '07. I doubt you need a $100 harness but from the sounds of things around here its tought to get ANY harness for an '07. You might be stuck with the $100 one if that's all that can be had......

I know for a fact you don't need it on the 06's unless you have OnStar. I didn't need it for mine, which has the Pioneer system. But I don't know about the 07's. Sorry boss...

Well, I know that the '07 models don't need the one with the module to work... so there is no sense spending the extra $20 for something i don't need.
I just can't believe that a plain old wiring harness is $120 CDN.

I've already started to model up the connector in Solidworks. I think I'll just 3D print the plastic part here at work, then drill and insert the pins when i get home.
Good thing that '07 radio pinout list was posted up!

I have a 2006 chevrolet cobalt ss supercharged and i recently bought the Dual xdvd8181 monitor. i first had to buy a 130 dollar wire harness because of the onstar and chimes in my car. i have evertyhing hooked up, but when i hook the ignition wire up, my guages dont work and neither does the digital mileage or temperature display. Also, when i hook the ignition wire up. the unit turns on and operates but there is no sound coming out of the speakers. Please help with suggestions, ive heard alot about problems with hooking these up in cobalts. wondering if you could help.
