This is pretty much what I got. Its a little bit different though. One problem, I dont get text displayed, and I cant navigate through my music. I usually just put it on Shuffle for the whole ipod, and I can skip forward and backward. If you contact the seller, he is great about responding to you to give you details. Ask about your specific application... That page says something about a 'cat' button, but I dont have that.
Its kind of ghetto, but it works. One of these days, I want to get an eclipse unit, that has an ipod interface built in.

i want to have it set up nice and neat so im trying to wire it directly into the radio. i want to swap out the xm box and put a sirius box in place of that.
and there is already a ipod plug in the front of the dash on mine so i dont want to do that.

buy an alpine, and buy the sirius radio from alpine as well.
that way its hard wired, no annoying transmissions you pick up from anyone else.
no FM broadcast , FTW.

In the Cobalt, I've got the Stiletto mounted right above my right knee. I really like all of the extra features of the separate tuner (song/artist search, record shows, etc) but miss the cleanness of the Sirius replacement box.
I think with XM and Sirius about to merge, you're not going to see much when it comes to new hardware.
Just wait, you'll have all of the Sirius programing coming through your XM radio soon enough! I'm thinking by the end of the year.

I really like the Stiletto and because I was already a subscriber I got it on sale for $149. After the XM/Sirius merger I'll just use the Stiletto in the house or when I travel.

XM and Siruis have merged and you will be getting both companies broadcast by the end of this year so it is going to be a waste of money to switch over now. You are better off just holding on for a few more months when the merge goes into effect.
