I have the pioneer component system in my SS...

My headunit is a DVD navi keneood dnx5120
With 2 alpine type r12's...


Whenever I hit a bump... My left speaker seems to start going staticky and start humming and buzzing almost ticking... Any ideas?


Also... Looking to replace my front components... Any sugestions on a good direct placement? I know our stock set-up runs off of 8ohms... Any suggestions for the front and rear speaker replacements?



1 more thing... Swapping my 2 type r12's powered by one mrd-501 alpine amp(500watts rms split to 2) to power 1 jl audio w3v3 in the stock 10" pioneer box... What sound quality and loudness should I expect? Downgrade or upgrade?

stock setup should be 2 ohms. in which case you want to get a 2 ohm setup or run your own wires to the radio and bypass the stock amp. the only company i know that makes 2 ohm speakers is infinity

going to the jl in the stock box would probably sound better sq wise but be id guess a minimum of 3 times or more quieter... but it wont fit in the stock box anyway
