Fog Light issues
Ok just recently seems that my fog lights are having a mind of its own. few weeks ago one of the harnesses fried itself so I ordered another harness. While waiting the 2nd light went out. Replaced them both today and they worked fine. drove back home and looked and neither work and the harnesses seem fine, as do the bulbs. Any ideas what could happen?

i ran hids fogs in my car for like a month and then i swapped back to regular bulbs and the once connector got ruined and the plastic plug got melted and i just bought a new connector for it and it works fine now. i would say look on the connectors to see if theres and corrosion

If its the wiring then it has to be where the harness was soldered to the pig tail.
**** it wheres a link to buy full harness for plug and play?
everywhere I go gives me a hard time with ordering.

went and put a 30 fuze in and one light flickered then came on so I assume thats the one that has a short. I didnt leave them on since there going to go out anyway. Ill go back and check the wiring tomorrow.

1LSJ2NV good luck with the wiring issue, hopefully you can get it resolved without to much more expense. I've got a question for anyone in this post though. I'm running HID's in my Cobalt. Installed them in october, and up until recently everything has worked fine except for my foglights. A week ago my relay for the headlights burned up, but no big deal, had the heads on my previous car for nearly two years before I transferred them to the cobalt so it blowing wasn't a surprise, had it replaced under the lifetime warranty. But now to my main issue, when I installed the fog lights the only one that worked full time was the drivers side. The passenger bulb would come on for about 30 seconds, flicker, then shut off. It's done this since Oct, but will normally stay on after cutting off about 4 times. However, I want to simply resolve the problem and prevent it from happening again. All connections are good, so I'm thinking its either something with the factory harness, the bulb is bad, or something to do with the ballast. I have new ballasts on order because I initially thought that was the problem with the headlights, so if that's my problem with the fogs then the solution is on its way. However, I won't know for sure until they arrive. The ballasts on the fogs were also initially on my previous vehicle, however, I had to purchase new bulbs as they were not the same. Any suggestions?

alright, i'll try that if the new ballasts don't solve it. which, i'm wondering if they could be the problem. I had a mustang before i got the cobalt. the headlight bulbs are the same, 9007, which is why instead of buying a new kit i transferred them over, thus why i expected the relay to go out, although not so soon (thanks to the damn drl's and coming on when unlocking, but i solved all of that today, so now i don't have to worry). but i had to buy new bulbs for the fogs since they're h11's instead of the 983's from the stang. so is it possible the ballasts won't support the h11's? although wouldn't that mean both wouldn't function properly?
