Gen 1 headlights LED's Flickering,halo problems,etc please help!

so i've had my gen one headlights since about august id say, since i had them installed any time it rains my halos will not come on or one will come on out of the four.....also recently my leds on the passenger side have started flashing the entire time they are running....its really annoying...i took it to a shop here locally and the guy told me that whoever wired them half ass did it and said he would rewire them for 125 i thought that was a ridiculous price so i never went back.....i called up the guy that originally installed them and told him the other shop told me they were not connected very well so i dropped it off today and he supposedly fixed the halos (which he didnt) and the LED's are still flashing...he told me that he thinks the led problem is something to do with the little black box that is connected to the halos and leds......could this be true? i dont even know if this guy even took the time to actually take them out and rewire them at all.....what should i do?

anyone got some help?

nobody has any clue? i took the headlights out myself today and checked all the connections, they look like the connections are fine...i cleaned all the connectors out with electronics cleaner and my halos seem to be working better/ brighter now...but the led's are still flickering on my driver side light......looking at the LED's they have a + and - wire coming from them, and then both wires pass through a little black box before being led to a power source. I think that little box is a voltage regulator of some sort so that the LED's arent being blown....any ideas on replacing that box or has anyone else had similar problems? any help at all is appreciated.....for now i have just taken out all the leds on both head lamps taped em up and stuffed them back behind the housing...looks a kinda crappy with just one set of leds on .....

I have an Audi A4 and I'm already installing an HID Xenon lamp conversion. I grabbed a set of LED strips that are made to slip into the headlight frame around the housing. I've installed before but I did it hooked up to an interior on/off flip switch (I do not want that for this application). I also have done it tapped into the headlight/parking light wire so they both turn on (again, not what I want). I am looking to have them come on when the ignition is turned on like 'daytime running lights' and off vice versa. I dont want any other lights on except those during that time. How would you recommend wiring it? If I reversed the connection on the strip so it grounds when the ignition is on?... I dont know, I dont want to mickey mouse it, Its a 12V strip and I have an in-line 3Amp fuse on each wire.

assuming ur audi doesnt already have those led lights factory you would have to have some sort of a day time running light in the car for it to work. then you would just tap that and done.
