Grand AM cup clips
So Bulldog, Cobalt Supercharged and I went to the Grand AM Cup here at PIR this last weekend and even though the Cobalts didn't win we did get 3rd place.
The issue with the race was a BMW z4 that was slowing down the pack. He kept gettin the flag that lets you know if a driver is faster than you and you need to let them pass but he didn't do it and it just seperated the other faster cars from the race leaders. Had he not been there screwing it up it woulda been A LOT different. There was also a couple SRT-4's that were racing though ... they didn't even finish the race. One started late and only got in a couple laps and another went about 16 laps and it was finished. The funny thing about the race was the cobalts though ... you couldn't really hear them at all.
Overall it was cool and I am sure your all tired of me yappin so anyway here is the link to the vid I completed like 4 days ago but was having audio issues with. Only the lowband version is up at the moment as I am rendering the highband version as I post this. Anyone that doesn't have a fast connection will want the low band version cus even at this size it is still nearly 20mb in size.
Edit: Both versions are up now

Awesome. Those F-ing Mini Cooper S's were loud as hell.
The Cobalt had to have been in Stealth mode. The first clip of the Cobalt passing is not edited. That is exactly what they sounded like!

I watched this race last week on SPEED. The commentators said that the Cobalts were FORCED to put on complete street legal exhausts. This was their first race with the new much more restrictive exhausts so they were at a real disadvantage.
In the GT class (different race) the Mustangs were forced to change their rear gear ratios thus putting them at a huge disadvantage.
Apparently Grand AM Cup officials don't think it's fair if a domestic car is winning all the races so they inflict punishing restrictions until Acuras, BMWs and Porches can win

We were timing the leader and he was consistantly putting down 47 sec laps. We timed the first Cobalt and it was consistantly 24.5 sec behind the leader. Had it not been for those slow moron drivers in the begining, the outcome could have been different.

I really enjoy watching the Cobalts compete in Grand Am Cup on SPEED. The commentators say a lot of nice things about the "little cobalt", often saying it's by far the fastest car in the ST class - especially on the back straights.
