I have a question though, I hear alot about using polyfill. What effects will this have other than lowering the frequency? Will it gain anything dB wise?

hack it will make the bass alot deeper or smoother, but the downside to it is it wont be as efficient (sloppy). poly fill is mostly use to make the sub think that the box is bigger, so you really dont need it at all, but in my case i had to use it, alot of it, so that i didnt get noise from my box

I think I'm going to get a Hifonics BXI2006D
They're like $350 on ebay, and they put out 2000w RMS @ 1ohm
I hear lots of good things about these amps on RealmOfExcursion forums too

You know your sound system is too large when...
- Your DIC constantly Flashes "POWER STEERING", "CHECK CHARGE SYS", & "BATTERY SAVER ON" while listening to the radio at higher volumes.
- Your back end sags like you've got several dead bodies in the trunk
- Your CD player can no longer play CD's because of the intense vibrations
- Your car almost stalls when idling and playing the stereo at the same time
EDIT: - Your trunk and spoiler flex several inches up and down due to the intense environment in your trunk

your stuff always looks good in the end Hack. Good luck finishing it.
Personally, I wouldn't ever do this to my car, but then again I'm not big into audio. Plus, with that much bump, how would I hear the exhaust and the wine of the supercharger. Now THATS music to my ears

This can be solved by the first upgrade that should have be done which is a higher output alternator. As for the vibrations...DYNAMAT!
The polyfill will only trick the subs into thinking its in a bigger box; therefore, sounding deeper not increaseing Decibels.
Good thing you got rid of that crappy sony amp! Pretty nice to have 4 12's...been there done that... You should be in the 150db with 4 12's! I hit 152.8 with 4 12's.
Can't wait to see the finished product!
