Head Unit Install

Bought a new Alpine head unit, and Crutchfield stated on their site that "Modification was required" and it said to "cut out rear metal support"... went to put the head unit in and it wont slide all the way into the dash.... anyone else have this problem? What exactly do I have to cut and will it make my dash rattle or fall apart?

That should help a bit. It's kind of a pain if you have to remove the metal bar too.
