Head unit questions

Hey guys. I have a 06 ss/sc. I have a question about an aftermarket radio- specifically I am looking into getting a pioneer f700bt. I don't know as much about radios as I know about the mechanical side, so I guess what im asking is if some one can give me a parts list of what id need to install the f700bt. I have the factory radio right now. ive been doing some research on here an cant really find just a straight up hard list of parts. I also would like to add the XM module to the radio as I love xm. will my factory xm antenna work? what module and/or wiring do I need to make xm happen on the f700bt? if some one could be kind enough to give me a list of part numbers and descriptions so I can kind of figure out what I need to do, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Ok here's the stuff you need.
Dash kit:
if purchased from a local audio shop the part number should be BKGMK352

Radio Interface (harness):
C2R-GM11B if car has no onstar, if it does have onstar you need an OS-311B

Antenna:
Adapter BAA4B

Thats all you really need. Good luck

Thank you for the quick response. So would a kit like this contain everything I need besides the XM module? http://www.ebay.com/itm/2004-2009-Chevy-Pontiac-DD-Radio-Install-Dash-Kit-Harness-Antenna-PKG220-/390423683699?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5ae710a273&vxp=mtr

Yep that looks like it has everything included. The XM module will have to be purchased with your new radio. Let me see exactly what it will need.

No problem, good luck with the install. Forewarning you have to remove the bracket behind the factory radio so the new one will fit, but other than that its pretty straight forward.

I read something about that, shouldn't be too big of a deal. O, and one other question. What about getting steering wheels controls. Do I need anything special to make them work with this HU?
