Very cool look to it, just got it in today. Definitely beefier and you can tell the differences instantly. The picture doesn't do it justice. Going to install and test tomorrow.

yea ill take a side pic jj. ***** broader by a bit...I'll also compare this to the quasi-pseudo-H/O alt that I'm about to pull out of the car. The one next to it in the picture is just the stock one...

lol, well JJ, I hate you and love you at the same time...you just brought something horrifying to my attention...in my excitement/busyness with other **** I failed to notice that the PCM plug and the pulley grooves are NOT a match for my cobalt trim....sigh....they sent me the wrong one.....hopefully I'll get hooked up for this one because this is going to be a hassle, especially since mail services are going to be delayed a shitton thanks to this hurricane that's incoming

update:
After a few hiccups with the second alt that got sent out I'm getting a third alt that will hopefully rectify (witty pun in case nobody noticed) the problems I was having with voltage cycling at idle with no accessories, loss of SRS and power steering....It mated up perfectly with the mounts and lined up great with the serpentine belt, but the PCM plug interface seems to be incorrect and does not match the stock plug....Just rapped with Kyle, a DC power rep, on another forum where his company is a supporting vendor, and he says he's sending out a new alt with corrections....Was getting a little frustrated, but DC's C/S pulled through in the end, even though I imagine they have a lot on their plate. I will say before the issues that arose, the performance of the alternator was definitely noticeable, and the juice will be worth the squeeze in the end.
My experience with DC Power so far:
Pros:
Reps are extremely nice on the phone and on the forums
Trust (Robbie sent me out my second alt before I returned the first one, a huge plus in my book)
High quality product, don't take into account that I'm having issues right now, because as soon as they get worked out I assure everyone this is going to be a great product
Cons:
C/S can be hard to get a hold of at times due to their large volume of calls and the fact that they have 1-2 reps manning the phones tops in most cases
Waiting on shipping/returns (This is somewhat expected considering they're crafting a completely custom in house alternator for you, but hey, it's still a con)
Other than that, it's been alright. I was quite upset earlier waiting on a response when my issues (dangerous ones that took me a little by surprise), but they're doing everything they can to fix the problem. All in all my experience would be considered positive, not taking into account the mismatched configuration of the alternators, which I'm sure won't be an issue for future customers after the kinks are worked out. Once I get everything up and running I'd definitely vouch for them on a spot on the supporting vendor page (if they wanted one), as they accommodate all cobalt years and trim levels.
