How much did it cost you to install all of that? Not including the radio cost? Does your DIC still work? (drivers information center)

I'm using the windsheild wiper fuse! I tried the cd player, but the headunit wouldn't shut off.

It only comes on if someone is sitting in the passenger seat. Which is where I just happened to be lol

The whole thing cost me 49.99 for the DIN filler, Wiring harness and antenna adapter. I got it from Cobalt Addiction. Yes, my DIC still works

Yea, I'm curious about the '07 also. I have a Pioneer from my old car, but I want to make sure that everything will work OK.

--- NEVERMIND I was stupid and didn't see the 07 thread...

Would you suggest getting this installed at a shop or is it real easy to do it yourself? Any radio install DIY's? Thanks!

Also, can you actually go into the DIC and reset your oil life monitor and everything like normal? It doesn't sound like it...

Oh geez...do it yourself...it was really easy, just becareful taking the trim pieces off. This is almost as easy as making a peanut butter sandwhich!

Well, I love PB&J's... : D

But can you still reset the oil life monitor and everything? On the C-A site, it didn't sound like it.

i took my factory radio clear out to see if it would screw anything up and my DIC works fine and my OBD-II scanner connected just fine but i dunno if there were to be any faults if everything would mesh ok but i dont see why not

So in other words (sorry,I like to be perfectly clear) if you use the install kit from C-A (50 bucks) and the radio (150 bucks) and you're good to go? No strings attatched? Nothing extra, at all? Ad everything will work perfect? DIC and all? Because I'm not buying some 180 dollar wiring harness to let me be able to reset my oil life monitor and stuff. Please let me know!!! I want to buy this Alpine unit. The main reason I want to do this is to use my Zune in the car. I don't have a tape player, and I hate FM transmitters.

It all depends on the trim level.
