Someone elses post sounded like you needed to do all sorts of wiring. Ok, so just get the radio from Crutchfield and then you get the dash kit and everything included. Then just take off the dash pieces, remove the old radio, install the nexw one, put the dash pieces back on and you've got the radio. Then EVERYTHING works. Right?

it's just that, I'm not changing anything. I'm just changing the radio. not speakers. Nor amp. Nothing. Just the radio. Has anyone here just changed the radio? Not the whole damn thing? lol.

Good. I just hate when **** doesn't go as planned. lol. Because us all being car guys, you know that nothing EVER goes as planned. lol.
This being said, anyone notice any nice differences in sound and/or clarity using an aftermarket unit with the factory Pioneer components? I'm going with an Alpine radio in mine... When I sell my PSP in a few days I'm thinking about buying it...
I was just reading a few install posts and it sounds like if you hook one of the wires in wrong (with the free Crutchfield kit) that the DIC is stuck. I can't have that. Is that just bacause he plugged it into the ignition, not the sunroof? To do that, do you just remove the fuse from the sunroof slot and place the wire in there, and put the fuse back over it?? I'd go to Circuit City to have it installed, but they can't get over the idea of me telling them the free harness will work...

I am trying to install a Kenwood in dash monitor but getting no sound. I need to figure out how to send signal through the factory amp. Please help. If I plug a speaker directly to the headunit I get sound but I dont want to rewire the whole system. I dont have the money right now to rewire and buy all new speakers at the moment. Right now my headunit is an expensive paperweight.
