Help with Alpine IVA-W205

As the title reads, I'm installing my IVA-W205 in my 07 ss/sc.. however, I do just have one question for the install. Where did you connect the wires for the parking brake and foot pedal?? Did you just bypass them some how so you can still have the dvd feature without the parking brake on? Im looking into both options would love to have the dvd feature at all times, I wont be watching it while driving. Thanks.

yeah right man, thats what they all say.. just messin.

for the parking brake, yes, just ground it and use a toggle switch to engage the dvd feature. On my new pioneer, i actually just used a push on-off button from radioshack... works flawless.

I have the same system in mine. I got the Pac bypass. It's made especially for the Alpines. You ground it and hook the parking brake leads up to it. Oddly enough I always hit the visual button to turn off the screen while driving. It is unbeleivably distracting to drive with the tv on. Sounds odd but I would probably hooked it up right if I were to do it again.

Pac bypass I just saw that, the only reason I want the option available is I have a lot of concert dvds with great live lists.

Simple, take the parking brake wire and run it it to a switch, put the other side of said switch to ground. Take the foot brake wire run it to a switch and this time run the other side of that switch to your accessory wire. Then you can use the switches to simulate the sequence you would do with the e-brake and foot brake.
