Here's what I got:

Polk Audio 6 1/2 mids in the doors
MB Quarts tweets
Infinity Kapa 6x9s in the rear deck
2 LJ Audio 12w3v2 in the trunk.

Sounds awesome.

He has a 4 channel amp with a built in high pass crossover. He does not need "Bass blockers".

I wouldn't put 2 sets of speakers in the front, it will be very overwhelming and loud.

I don't care what anyone else says, you need some rear fill. I keep my fader set towards the front slightly, but my system sounds unbalanced if I cut the rears out altogether.

for the price of the JLs i would go with some Hertz.... very nice speakers there
x2
I am runing infinity but there not the best, Focal also make great front end
Although it would be nice to have an all JL setup. The front end JL's sound like they are under water, IMO

hertz CDT rainbow are among my favorites. Hertz is the most practical nice sounding speakers out there IMO. they sound much better then the normal stuff u see out there... is there better yes. So far i believe Rainbow is the best sounding speaker ive herd BUT even i working at a car stereo shop even if i could get them at dealer price they are crazy expensive. Then again the hertz milli series is pretty pricey too... either way if your looking for an all around good sounding setup i would go with a set of hertz energy or high enrergy speakers along with a door kit of second skin damplifier or dynamat extreme
