Help Sub into Trunk (56K beware!!)

Hey everyone my friend just gave me a sub today its a 12inch P1 punch rockford sealed in a box but problem is that the box does not want to fit into the trunk whatsoever so i have turned to trusty community of cobaltss.net for some advice and help. I attached some pics in here to give you a jisk idea. Thanks.

the only way I can think of is the mesh has to come off so you can break down the box...then staple gun the mesh back on when you assemble it in the trunk...other than that Im not a big help

well seein as most sub boxes are held together wiht drywall screws...take off all carpet, take out the screws..pry apart the peices put it all in the truck..build it one side at a time.. use drywall screws and when ur done..put a bead of silicone along the seams..you might even be good to put some glue on the joints.

its realy not that difficult...if u take it apart outside of the trunk u will know where each peice goes. its simple.

most pre-made boxes are just glued together particle board or fibre board., it's pretty hard to take that apart neatly

lemme go measure my box, I had to use my leg muscles and leg press it in through the back seat...it's about the same to get it back out though.

I had to remove that cover that was on the trunk latch, there is a little grove that gave me just enough space to slide the corner of the box in.

here's wut u can do. I have a ****** huge box and it was so a bitch to get in. First off that black plastic on the side of the trunk where the latch for the trunk to latch on can be removed by simply pulling up on it towards the sky. Then you can take off the latch with a rachet. See if you box will go in after that. The box might be too long for it to go in so to help out you can remove the carpet and spare tire and what not to get it in. Then you put everything back in like I had to do. You're absolute best bet would probably be to take out the top of the rear seats. here's the link to do so

ounce you have them out it will probably be alot easier.

ummm you should be able to take the seat backs out of the car. it looks like they are just folded down. if you take the seat backs out that should give you an extra few inches.

np man that box is tiny. well not dissing tiny just that it will fit easy with what I sugguest. Just looking at it now you'll have no problem with puttin it in the trunk way if you take out the black plastic piece and take off the latch. Make sure you turn it differenet angles and what not. My box took me and my friend who is going for engineering a while to finally get in lol. Good luck and let us know how it turned out.
