HID Relay Harness Problem
Question about HID relay harness:
Today my headlights just won't work. They are Mini H1 retrofits with DDM Tuning HID kit. At first I thought it was a grounding issue, but neither headlight would come on.
So I then kept messing around, grounding it to all different areas, and nothing. Only thing that would happen, is it would flicker ever so slightly, not a full brightness.
I can't figure out what's wrong. I'm assuming the relay harness went bad, as it's from eBay. Anyone have any suggestions to try? I'm going to try a friend's relay harness tomorrow.
I'm not actually sure if it's the relay harness or not.

Money its the relay. Did it get wet? One thing I learned with DDM, any HID kit for that matter, they need to stay dry, and that can be tough. I don't know how many ballasts I replaced so far, a lot. I am on my 3rd relay harness I believe too.

I had a **** relay too back in the day, so I just took it up. Getting a new quality one as we speak.
Relays are DEFINITELY one of those things that you get what you pay for. Getting a cheap one will end up having you spend much more money in the end. Get a good one.

I recently sold some stuff on eBay so I had money in my PayPal account, so I just ordered from TRS. Whatevs.
So I guess the point of this thread now... don't buy eBay relay harnesses.

that's because DDM kit is $29.95 for the complete set and $9.99 for a harness. That's 39.94 plus shipping.
and TRS kit is $150 plus shipping, harness of your choice included.
You get what you pay for.
It's like saying "Chevy Cruze sucks, Stingray does not".
It's not really "apples and oranges", it's more like "leftover apples at the farmer's market" and "premium organic hand grown select apples"
