Highbeam Problem

Both of my highbeams were out so I assumed the bulbs were both blown. I replaced them and they still don't work, checked the fuses and they are ok. The blue highbeam indicator light comes on so the swicth seems to be working right. I have a wiring diagram and it says there is a seperate relay for the high & low beams. I can't find it anywhere though.

There is no power to the headlight, no power at the higheam fuses in the distibution box either. I just need to know where the relays for the high beams are? Can't find them anywhere. I can hear clicking when I turn on the headlights but can't isolate where it comes from. I took out all the relays out and it still clicks, sounds like under the fuse box. I've had the box out many times and never saw any under there.

Any ideas?

If you can figure this out, you will be my hero. I have the EXACT SAME PROBLEM. The dealer replaced my BCM and that seemed to help it for a short time, then it came back a year later. I have not checked relays, the dealer *claimed* to have checked them, but we all know what that usually means.

I would take it to the dealer but the car is out of warranty by 1 month even though I'm under on miles

So I called the dealer and the BCM is still covered. I talked to my parts guy and there is no relay for the headlights eventhough the wiring diagram says there is. So I guess the BCM must be the problem.

BCM = Body Control Module. It is the computer used to control non-engine functions such as your lighting, flashers, signals...etc.

Yeah. I have yet to fully figure out my problem. It's either a loose connection somewhere or the BCM has gone haywire again.
