how do I amp my rear speakers?
I have aftermarket headunit and speakers and have subs and an amp in my trunk. my question is how do I amp my rear speakers with my amp? do I just run wire from my amp to my speaker wires or whats the deal? Im pretty dumb when it comes to audio

You run speaker wire from your amp to your speakers, but you run a audio wire from your radio to your amp, usually an RCA type plug (the red and white ones).
If I understand you correctly I think your asking if you should just connect the amp to the speaker wire that comes from the radio to the speaker. Don't do that because then you would be sending power back into the radio and probably fry your equipment.
Not to be rude but you should just take it to a pro to be on the safe side. Good luck either way.

Well I have the RCA cables hooked to my amp and last night I ran the wire from the amp to the speakers and the bass cones hit but none of the highs worked. I read somewhere that you had to have a high frequency convertor if your amp didint have one so I'm about to head to the audio shop here in town and see what they say

there are several actions that could make this problem:
- you hooked the amp up to the sub outputs not the rear speaker outputs
- you have the rear speakers set up a a sub on your deck
- on your amp you have the low pass filter on, it should be switched to the high pass filter.
