how do I splice a 3rd wire?

Ok I'm talking about my grill lights. Well it's 1 wire for each light of course. But now I wanna connect a 3rd light for the middle to light the middle up. How would I splice this wire into the connection? I had a professional originally install my lights so I have no clue about all this. Of course he turned the 2 wires into 1 whole wire. Actually I had too small of lights and I just went out and switched them for bigger ones and spliced them my self just now. But I'm just not sure how or where I would splice the 3rd wire into and into the whole connection it self.

Ok hold on I'll go out and take some pictures.

How do I include the 3rd light in the connection of the other grill lights so all 3 work on the switch? What do I have to splice it into?

connect your thrid wire to your existing .+ to + -to - . tape it off. You light may seem a lil dimmer since your slitping(sp) power

If your not going to be mature then GTFO. What am I splicing it into?? That's my question. What do I splice the 3rd wire into to include it in the connection?

take all the lights. twist together all the positives... and twist together all the negatives.

negative goes to ground. positive goes to switch. then the switch also has a positive which goes to a 12v and a negative which goes to a ground..

so all positives of your lights go to the 3rd switch port (usually center)

oh also like the one guy said. this might cause a dimming effect because they are all getting power from the same spot.

He took the lights wires then took his own wire and attached the lights to that wire then i dont rmember what he did but have part of it go to ground and the other to the switch that's where I'm getting lost. Maybe I should leave it to the professionals I have no clue what I'm doing I have no idea how to do electrical work and don't wanna **** something up. I already had it smoking earlier when trying to splice the bigger lights in.

yea maybe it's not a good idea then. I dunno I'll just have my friend look at it then. Blah I was hoping to save some money trying to do it my self but oh well. If I can't figure out where the 3rd wire goes then I think I shouldn't be trying to do this my self.

ok im going to try to hlp....let me know if i get ahead of you....

that blue "wire" is a wire loom....it has more wires inside it....they should all be positive...

now that wire in your hand is really 2 wires...one is yellow one is black....correct??

now take that yellow wire and splice it into one of your positive wires

and take the black one and put it to a ground....

turn your switch on and boom....light should work...

let me know man ill try something else if that doesnt work...

yeah what he ^ said should work.
i just did underdash lighting and i have 2 lights running to 1 switch, to add a 3rd all you would do is just run another power wire to the switch or to one of the positive wires and ground the negative.

this is how you learn and when some new guy asks this question you can tell him the answer

ok so 1st off where is the new light and where are your current ones....thes new wires dont have to go anywhere near the interior.... but you got to tell me the info i ask for then i will help you...

trust me there is a greater sense when you do it yourself
