How much dynamat do I need?
I have the oppertunity to pick up 20sq ft of Dynamat for $40 figured I'd jump on it. I was just wondering how much I would need to do the front doors, rear decklid and the trunk.
Thanks in advance.

Well I can get as much as I need. But the end price ends up being $40 for 20 sqft. I'm not going crazy with it. Just Front doors, Rear decklid and some in the trunk. I hate hate hate rattle boxes for cars I'm im attempting to avoid that.

50 sq feet was enough to do everything from the front seats back in my car.....That included the full trunk well, lid, and all the side panels in the back seat as well......only thing that wasnt done was the roof......so 40 should work for you no problem, even with doing the doors.....

Im thinking about doing this as well, but the area Im focusing on is the wheel wells to cut down on tire road noise. Anybody ever do this? I was thinking pull the wheel well plastic out, line the inside of them with dynamat and then put them back in. What do you think? Ill probably do the door too.
hahaha......i didnt overlap.....anyone can just slap it in on top of itself......i prefer a clean install......and putting more than 1 layer isnt going to make much of a difference in my opinion.
That spectrum stuff seems cool, it would be a lot lighter than dynamat I would assume. How does it dry though? Does it stay that crazy green?

i would imagine the spectrum would melt off the bottom, espically where you live...

The picture of the 1 gal paste I saw looked green, but youre right, everything else I saw looked bluish/gray....supposedly it dries black which would be good. I googled it and found a bunch of application pictures on other forums....it was pretty helpful.
