It sounds like a bad connection. Be sure to check your remote wire, because if its touching metal it will put your amp into a safe mode and work. Well some amps are like that. Its definitely a connection issue. Even check your RCA cables.

Sometimes the connection can get gunk or corrosion but since you have it hooked to the battery in the trunk I highly doubt that I would just go over the whole thing tightening down everything because your getting power to the amp otherwise the light wouldnt be on its just not grounding right or connecting to the head unit properly

Your sure none of the wires are pinched anywhere, mainly the remote wire if so then... I think its the amp.
Grounding strait to the battery is the best thing to do no electrical resistance there for no voltage drop.

To me i personally think it could be an issue with the amp...Look at the variables here...
1.) worked and now all the sudden doesnt, So if nothing was touched and suddenly went out, nothing could be pinched
2.) all fuses and says all done properly(i dont know your work so not sure)
3.) i would get a DVOM and check every connection and then get back to us

What kinda fuses are they? They might look good and still be blown.

haha i had the same problem, i baught a new amp and still nothing so i got froggy and hooked my amp *the one with the red light* to new speakers and it went off and played, turns out my speakers were blown, so idk may be your speakers if at all possible try using your same connections hook up a friends amp or something and check if nothing try using different speakers, im sure youll find its in that if your saying all your connections are ok.
just my .02...you could also check resitance from your amp to where you grounded it out at...just set your DVOM to ohms and place one lead at your ground on amp and where its actually grounded it it should read no more than .01OHMS...if so look for corrosion or a break in your ground cable...you can also check for voltage drop but some people find that confusing (not sure why) but i always just check for resitance when it comes to grounds
hope this helps....
