Important question.

So i have a clarion hu. And i have the pioneer system. I use my rca front and rear outputs to send signal to stock amp. Well I dont get alot of loudness out of the hu. I have to turn it all the way up to hear over my aftermarket sub. I was curious if i just delete my stock amp and run my speakers off my head unit amp like normal. I am affraid if i do this i am gonna have problems with my tweeter getting mid and low range in them. So any suggestions or comments are more than welcome

that is correct running without the stock amp would blow ur hu anyway. so if you pull either speakers or amp u have to do them both.

now answer me this do ur speakers get loud enough if you take the sub in the equation? you may just need to match the sub volume with the speaker volume

What do you mean by this?

Well i just feel like they speakers should be louder. I dont know if you understand how i have the HU hooked up or not. Basicly i am not using Speaker outputs in the HU, I am using preouts instead to just send the signal to the stock amp. Basicly doing what the stock HU does just with an aftermarket one.

yup which is the "correct" way to do it, it should be slightly louder with everything flat and on 0. with some tweaking of the eq and crossovers you should be able to make the stock setup sound much better then factory.

stock speakers are 2 ohm and theres no crossover on the tweeters. if you hook them up in parallel not only would u blow the tweeters but you would have a 1 ohm load on a hu that can only handle 4 ohms. once the tweeters blow that hu is either gonna go into protect or boom either way its gonna sound worse or your going to need to replace the speakers after trying that out

trust me man either tweak and tune and get what you have to sound better or plan on replacing all the speakers
