I am buying a factory Cobalt SS mp3 cd player off Ebay since mine only came with the regular cd player and have two questions.
1. How do you remove the trim panels to get to the stereo mounting screws?
2. can I get an unlock code without having the dealership gouging me?

1) You have to remove the silver part on the left by where your key goes. It just pulls out. And you also have to remove the silver strip above the glove box on the right side. That also pulls out. Then remove the trim around the radio, and then the HVAC unit. Then you can remove the radio.

2) The only way to get the unlock code is to have the dealership call. How ever I think that this radio has to be reprogrammed as well. Which also can only be done at a dealership.
