Installing new Subs/Amp/HU, leave Stock Sub or disconnect?
So I'm putting my system from my old car into my new 07 SS/SC tomorrow (yes I have the GMOS-LAN-04, antenna adaptor and all that good stuff) but I have a question:
I can't get to the factory amp to see how it's wired up, but is it possible that by disconnecting the stock sub that it'll boost the power that my rear/fronts/tweeters receive?
Or am I better off just leaving the stock sub connected as a lil extra thump?

Yea I guess I'll disconnect it then, I have a 12" JBL (cant remember the model atm but I know it's rated at 500 rms and 1200 peak), and I have a Rockford 700s bridged together pumping out 700 rms with the gain turned down a touch.
I'm gonna see how the pioneer system sounds with the new amp/sub and see if I really need to replace my mids and highs just yet

Well I'm stuck.. I can't get the freaking H/U in due to the shallow depth in there... crutchfield says it's a 6" - 5/8 depth but i measured it myself, it's not even 6".
How did you guys all get the aftermarket H/U in?
I have a JVC KD-LH300.
