Depending on what brand of H/U you have, you can get one of these..

It's great, I had one with my H/U and it was great. You can control functions right on the head unit.

I have an idea, and need some feedback. THe HHR factory radio has an ipod plug in in the radio face. Could the HHR factory radio be swapped out. I am looking to keep the factory look.

I have one of those but depending on where you live they can suck. Its nice when i'm out of the city, but when i'm in the city and most of the stations are taken up by real stations they can sound like crap. A lot of the colleges (Boston is a huge college town) Takes up most of the "pre-set" stations for the iTrip, Monster, etc. But if you live in an area where say 88.1 isnt taken up by a station its a great short term solution.

I do have a question though. If i dont have XM, shouldnt there be some type of extra "port" or something in the radio? Couldnt an aux port or something be set up from that?

so how exactly do you install the audiovox modulator? because my itrip as of now is taking a crap on me. the quality is horrible. just wanted to know, because i'll probably install it myself.

There is really no way to put a ipod hardwired any cobalt radio. It's sucks but yeah I would just get a new radio like alpine and get there ipod interface.
