I had this unit. It worked fairly well. For it to play while driving you have to put the e-brake wire to the ground wire and it will work fine.

LIke he said its illegal. But its ok to have it open in the cd or fm mode while driving. So if you get pulled over just switch it to the fm mode or cd mode and you will be fine.

I dont think they would look at it. They would have to prove you were watching it.

It's a very good unit. I currently have one for sale if anyone's looking....and screw the Ebrake/toggle switch, do this:

1) Insert the DVD and you'll get the blue screen.

(If you have more than one tv, the unit itself will have the blue screen but the additional tv's you have plugged in will NOT, they will show the dvd menu. Thus you will be able to see the hidden menu on the additional screens after inputting the code, but not on the main unit because of its blue screen.)

2) On the main remote, push stop twice and then 1, 2, 6, 4

3) Push the joystick on the unit SOUTH twice and then click it once.

4) Press SYS SETUP on the main remote twice to save your settings

That's the factory overwrite code that vendors use to display it on their shelves w/o an ebrake to stop them :]

ummm, do you have to do it once, or every time you want to use it?

If its once, that is cool, but if its every time, screw that the switch/ebrake bypass is way easier

once only, permanent........it saves even when ignition is off :] have fun

oh and i forgot to mention, it allows you to choose region codes and allows you to watch pirated dvds....just enter that sequence again and you'll see a menu with those options
