JL W7 And 1000.1 Questions

I have a new set up picked out, i want to run 2 10" W7 ProWedge boxex and power them with a JL Slash V2 1000.1

Subs....
http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_e...=5&prod_id=302

Amp.....
http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_amps.php?amp_id=440

I noticed the rms was around 750 for the 10" and they are each a 3 ohm load and together would be a 1.5 final load on the amp. The amp makes 1000 watt rms at 1.5 ohm through 4 ohm, soo my question is will each sub be getting 1000 rms or will it be 500 per sub. I have always ran single sub to an amp, so i never really thought about this before.

As much as i will be paying i dont wanna take any risks on hurting these subs, but really i dont ever crank the tunes up that loud in this car anyways....Thats what my grand am is for

But anyways im 100 percent sure this is the set up i want to run, i'v always wanted a W7, and have always like the look of the W7 Pro Wedge Boxes. Not only do they look sexy but the SQ is supposed to be top notch. I did a bit of measuring and both boxes should just fit, 2 of the 12" boxes will not.

Soo does anyone have any expeirence with the 10" W7's ?

Pic of curent setup.....

I'm pretty sure the slash series amps always put out the same rms as long as the ohm load is between certain ohms, between 1.5 and 4 I think. It's a feature of the amp, check out their website for the details but I think the feature is called RIPS for Regulated Intellegent Powet Supply. So as long as you're between 1.5 and 4 ohms the amp will put out a consistant 1000 watts

I should add I guess that I have a 500/1 an a 10w7 in the high output box and they are really great subs. It hits hard and gets really low but also is pretty punchy and sounds good with a lot of different types of music. I listen to a wide range of music and this sub plays them all well with great sound quality. I've been really happy and I've had it for about five years or so and never had a problem. There are a ton of rattles in the cobalt though, far more than in the VW I had before. I don't know if the VW was just put together with better fit and finish or what but it sounded better than the cobalt

I did however buy my stuff on a vendor accomidation direct from JL for 70% off so I couldn't really bitch about the price. If I had to pay retail I might have shopped around a little more

Ok so im wondering if the jl cleansweep will calibrate with our pioneer factroy systems, i want to run one to get a clean sub out signal to run a JL HD 750.1 amp. Right now i have a PAC line out converter and it isnt very accurate or clean.

I bought a JL 8" W7 prowedge to play around with running off my hifonics amp, it sounded ok but not like a W7 should sound, so i brought my grand am up and ran a set of rca's from the trunk to the cobalts trunk. The grand am has a jvc headunit SHX900 with IXOS RCA's and then goes to a Treo Knob Bass Processor, and then rca's run from the knob to my amp. well i ran a set of rca's from the knob to the cobalt to give the hifonics a CLEAN signal and WOW did the that Little 8" sound good. THe clarity and depth was unreal for how small the sub is, well so my little test gave me the answer i needed....which is that line out converter HAS GO TO GO....But i DO NOT want to get a new head unit in the cobalt.

SO this Jl clean Sweep seems to be an option, but i dont need the AUX and the Front-output. Just need it to run a sub out, so is it worth the money ?? i searched and found a few threads talking about it but dident find what i was looking for.
