Kenwood DDX512 Installed
For the labor day holiday I decided to treat myself to a new radio. I ended up getting a Kenwood DDX512. It took awhile to find all the parts needed for this install. The harness was impossible to find so I had to repin the 70-2003 and the double din dash kit took awhile to track down; didn't find that until yesterday. The antenna adapter was a cinch to find tho. With all of that it was definitely worth the trouble. I got it all hooked up last night and had a couple of quirks with it but once I installed the firmware update everything work perfect now. Just have to save for the bluetooth and nav adapters. Here are a couple of pics

Thanks. The nice thing I like about the radio is that you can adjust the illum. color to just about any color you want to match your gauges and stuff.

I have the single DIN slide out version of that in my Del Sol. Kenwood KVT-512. All around great unit, except for EQ settings. Does everything I need too perfectly, except its lacking in EQ settings to really tweak the Audio.

$600 for the radio, $20 for the dash kit, $20 for the harness, and $10 for the antenna adapter so about $650 plus tax.
I love the equalizer on mine you can adjust what type of sound will come out of the front and back, adjust the x-over for both regular speakers and subs, and has about 10 preset equalizer sounds as well as a 3 band manual adjuster. Does everything I need and more

I've got the exact same deck, installed it about a month ago. For the money, I think its probably the best deck I've ever owned.
The iPod integration is tops, goes through the menus and lists quickly, without almost no hesitation. Plus, being able to set custom backgrounds and start-up screens are an added bonus. If you get the iPod cable though, be prepared to make a little modification to the plastic behind the deck. The deck sits fine without it, but once installed, it keeps the radio from going all the way back into the cavity. I just Dremeled out the bit it was binding on, and it sits perfectly flush now.
Also, did you bypass the parking brake wire for the video screen?
