LCD screen, what can i do with it?

Hey guy, so I have this LCD screen, my friend said he found it laying around his house, has no idea what it was to but it was new in a box. So anyway, i figure cool maybe I can do something with it. Now that I have it in my hands I have no idea IF i can do anything with it. I don't know anything about those connections on there or anything about the screen for that matter. Does anyone know anything about this kind of stuff? It seem highly technical and well out of my range of knowledge.

Thanks!!

See that ribbon. That means uts a direct replacement part or part of a bigger package.
The only time I have ever seen anything like that was the replacement for the drive thru LCD display at work.
Could part of a video phone or the display from a doorbell/video display unit

ok, ive dealt with these things before....first of all, you will need something to drive the lcd...it looks like it is out of a laptop. That ribbon would connect to the video card and without something similar you arent going to get anything but black out of it. In all practicality, it would cost way too much and be way to difficult to do anything with for most applications....unless you wanted to custom fit it into something and rip a laptop apart to drive it as a pc or something...
