dome light isnt a 194 thou i dont think. i bought mine from vled on ebay. also regarding the license plate led you want something that fires down anything that only fires forward is no good. the led array would be best in the trunk. or one of the ones that fire in all directions if you want something a lil cheaper. it wont light up the trunk as well thou

I forgot about you non-sunroof people. I have 194's in my map lights and they work just fine but the dome might be different.
I also have the same bulbs in my licence plate lights and they work juast fine, match up nice in color to my 6000k HID's.

LED stuff

MY FIRST POST!!! I can't find where to make a thread of my own so this will have to do.

Someone I can't find anymore, put blue LED's in the radio control buttons on the steering wheel. I want a HOW-TO on this! Has anyone else done it?

LEDs are all over the place, just pick a website.. LOL

HID would be a bit over the top, and youd have to put a ballast somewhere.

I have an LED dome light and it's awesome. You get much better visabiltiy and the bulb itself takes less power to light up. For the dome light make sure you get 561

edit: 561 not 562.

I got replacements that are just coated blue for white light. It looks better but it makes it a lot harder to see. I got the license plate one too and I even got pulled over by a cop cuz he thought the bulb was out.

hids need time to start up, so you would be burning out bulbs really fast in the reverse spot, what you really need is a high powered led, look into it, im talking about the ones that are 25 to 50 dollars a pair.

ya but all the real big high powered LED's used as daytime running lamps are "advised" not to be used as night time lamps for their decreased actual output over incandesant

Are the reverse lights for lighting up the path as we go or more to just let others know that we are in reverse. If your windows are tinted than you can't see **** anyway.

BTW-Emp, I used 194 LED's without the metal heatsink, that had 3 LED's on the top of them, they were only $7-8 (Can) for a pair at a local automotive shop (Lordco)

These work really well in the mirror lights:
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...68710-1-2.html

Don't get these:
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...68269-1-2.html

I actually bought those for my Cobalt and they are 2.5mm thick, which makes it almost impossible to install. I had to grind down part of it to make it fit somewhat, but the 80 lumens made it worth it. The first LED I linked up there is slightly less bright (60 lumens), but fits perfectly in the 194 sockets and is significantly brighter than stock.

BTW I found two 15% codes for V-LEDs that may or may not work:
COMMANDER15
bt2580

Bottom line, ditch those dumb incandescent interior lights. The first time I opened the doors and the trunk, I thought GM saved some money by not installing lights. They were extremely dim inside my dark garage. With these new white LEDs, it looks like fluorescent lighting in an office environment.
