sadly, i've done all these installs, but never have done an install for myself. why does that always happen, WTF!?
i did these in my buddy's magnum, leaving the cargo area fully functional:
VERSION 1:
VERSION 2 (kept the subs on the sides):
helped design my buddy's celica with rear seats removed for amp rack and subs, also has PS2 built into the trunk and is lit underneath with a 20" neon tube so it looks like the diamond plate is floating:
reupholstered the set up in my fiancee's celica that was originally done by kenny at audio xtc/cobalt addiction. replaced the JL subs with kicker comps, and the kenwood amp was replaced with an alpine. also added a very rare MBQuart head unit in the euro single din style kit:
ported fiberglass enclosure in the trunk of my buddy's old STi:
my other buddy's 1994 acura Legend L:
my buddy's Solara:
VERSION 1:
VERSION 2 with floating amps:
my other friends 350Z with amps stealth mounted under the seats and this under strut brace sub box. the "Z" logo was hand etched by me from a Tommy Kaira logo and i back lit it with red LED's:

Pretty basic and boring, but easy to move around when needed.
10" Orion Cobalt DVC running off of a 10 year old 300w (bridged) HiFonics amp. Enclosure is ported and tuned, so it hits pretty hard for it's size and cost. Just enough to blur your vision slightly, while producing very few noticeable rattles.
I'm using the stock CD/MP3 player, so I used a Scosche line level converter (blue box above sub) to feed the amp a signal. Replaced the factory speakers with Sony Xplod. I wanted to change the head unit, but then I also want it to look stock for anyone who decides to peek in the window.

i have a fiberglass box sitting around that has a few pits in the paint... me and my buddies make them and sell them locally.. and this one was made from left over peices... if anyone is interested let me know.. i can post pics... we are only asking 70$=s&h OBO....
Here are some pics. This box was leftover parts... it is shown with no back on it... but we have just attached it and not taken recent pics... there are no subs with this and terminals have not been installed... the rings were messed up when cutting them (rotozip acted funny and bits broke) but we decided not to waste anything and put it all together.. i laid i think 5 layers of fiberglass and it has black paint on the face... needs TLC... and it may leak a lil air... may need silicon sealer... made from 3/4" MDF... i dont know if it will fit in a cobalt... i never tried... i guess i could... we only want 70+ s&h... should be about 100$ total depending on your location.... if anyone is interested ... or would like one made ... just let me know.. i can custom fit them to 05-07 cobalt, 98-02 carolla, 00-+ dodge neon, 00-? acura integera, 00-03 tiburon, or just universal like this one... let me know... prices vary... the host site for the pics is showing max loads... i will try to get pics fixed asap

No, I live in Fargo at the moment and didn't get a chance to look into those forums, do you know his user name? I also stopped doing fiberglass because it was a pain to do and MDF can be used for my simple installations and if I do anything custom not housing speakers I do in steel. But if you can remember his user name I can see if I recognize any of his past work from shows.
