License Plate LED Won't Fit?

So i got my Leds for my license plate and dome light today and when I went to install the one for the license it seem to not fit properly as the bottom of the led goes right into the part to lock it so that it could be bolted in. What can I do, so that it could work or did I get the wrong one?

Edit: I did get the wrong bulb

I was supposed to get the ones for the sideways application like the Balt has.....

Did any of you change your map lights (in the rearview mirror)
There the same bulbs as the ones for the licence plate
If not I suggest it, its a big improvement, not so much in the amount of light but it has a nice effect to it

I got the dome light right and it's much better than stock. Is anyone else having a problem where it won't fully go off when you have it set to go on when the door opens?

LEDs will always stay every so slightly lit on the dome light and map lights. It's normal. There a tiny amount of current flowing through the wires, it's not enough to light up the stock bulbs, but since LEDs require so little power to work, they will light up.

So if I left it alone I would be just fine?

It would probably take months if not years for the little glow from the LEDs to kill the battery, so it's not really something to worry about.
