from little problem to big problem. rear view mirror
Ok so here it goes. Yesterday i got my leds for my rearview mirror (194 wedge types) so then i go and try to take the old ones out and there a PITA so you may already know. So i take one out fine no problem with needle nose pliers and when i go take the other one out it breaks inside ;( so now me being excited i put the other led in rhe socket and one broken one. THEN I try to take out the broken glass with a tweezer little by little and im getting frustrated. Then finally i think i short circuited the rearview mirror because my brand new led goes out and doesnt come back on. So then i finally take all the glass out and debris from the broken bulb and put the bulb on and nothing. now none of the rear view mirror lights go on at all. Funny thing is that the on star still works fine and functions properly but the lights! Im stuck i checked the fuses by the passenger side door.( fuse 27 which is labeled interior lighting or something like it. Nothing fuse is fine no problem.) I also checked the fuses under the hood and i didnt find anything about the interior rear view mirror of the lights.) I even disconnected the mirror which is connected to the car im guessing for on star porpuses.. so yea my dilemma no rear view mirror lights.. everything else is fine. All dash lights are fine all bulbs on the outside as well.. any thoughts? Comments about this problem maybe i can get some guidance.. i cant enjoy my leds now looks like i may have burnt out the mirror oh well ..

Check the fuse with a multimeter to see if there's resistance. Sometimes fuses blow and visibly look fine. If that checks out, then test your mirror bases for the bulbs. The bulb may have also burned out if things were being bumped and knocked around. Leds are sometimes finicky and it varies on their quality of manufacturing.

When I put led's in mine I had this issue. I pulled them out and spun them around and put them back in and they worked fine. I might just be a polarity issue or whatever it is called. Just pull out and spin the bulb 180 so the contacts swap sides.
