locations for installing tweeters... how about this one?

Every tweeter and crossover will be different. Mount your 6.5 or whatever and get some long speaker wire coming from the crossover to the tweeter. Stick some velcro on the back of the tweeter, then put on a few songs. Close your eyes and move the tweeter around, starting from the 6.5 until you find a place where you like how it sounds. Stick the tweeter to the door using the velcro and listen to more songs. If you don't like it, move it. Once you find a place you like, look at the door and find a flat place to mount it on the door that is nearest to where you like it.

Again, every speaker and tweeter is different. Many of the after market tweeters you get are much more bright then the factory ones, so the closer you have them to your ears the sharper they become, especially when dealing with non-silk tweeters. Don't go off what other people do because your listening preference may be different. Take your tweeter and move it to where it sounds good to your ears and mount it as close to that point as possible.
