Malibu Heat Control Unit

Hey guys,

Just curious if anyone knows if the 2010 Malibu heat control/ac unit will fit and work in a 2009 cobalt ss? It looks like this:

Anything is possible, you just need knolage and time, im sure you could make it work. getting it to physically fit would be hard if its bigger

I'm pretty sure it won't, considering that's a computer controller HVAC unit and ours uses more of simple switches and potentiometers or something like that to control the temp.

right right. i wanted to do the ssr hvac for forever and actually bought one for that purpose BUT it was more difficult then i thought and ended up being a nightmare that never happened

to even attempt to get that to work you would need the electrical scemetic of the cobalt and of the malibu as well as the hvac all the plugs and wires coming out

so before you could even think about integrating it you would need all that hardware which from an 2010 would need to be from a dealer parts department

mmm who knows.

that HVAC may be CAN controlled.

If so, it wouldn't be so hard so long as you got a car computer hahaha

exactly with the ssr hvac being all manual i would have lost some stuff but the main issue was the wires. i bought a 40 dollar connector for the hvac that was just the connector no wires or pins and the wiring was part of come crazy harness that did all kinds of nonsense so it was like 2k for that.

all i know is for the manual controls it was somewhat possible if i make some compromises. so either the computer controlled would be easy as hell like warren said or not even close to possible
