I just got a thing in the mail from sirius xm saying i have a 3 month trial of xm radio. My dealer i bought the car from told me it was xm ready but xm is not listed when i cycle through with the band button. The car is a 2006 cobalt ss/sc. Is something just not hooked up or am i missing something.

Uh, maybe on the 07+ radio...

It should be in the Band lineup on the 05-06 radio. 2 bands of FM, 1 AM, 2 bands of XM.

Dealer should be able to fix it with a Tech 2 to get it to show up. That's weird that it's not their though, because even if you don't pay for it, it's still there as the "preview" station.

lol i was actually thinking of the wrong car. tried to think back on when i had the cobalt and was thinking of my impreza i had that car had a separate button for the sat. radio

I am also fairly certain that there is an xm tuner module in the back between the 6x9s gonna try calling the dealer tomorrow

just pop ur head under the rear deck lid and see if u see any silver sticking thru the 4 holes if so then the tuner is there. if u just see 4 empty holes then no tuner
