im surprised no company makes a aux input for our car. my brother just got his last week for his mazda3 its really cool. some guys make em in their basement but only for the mazda3 and they have a 3 month waiting list for that thing. it was worth the $50 tho bc we hooked up the omnifi mp3 player. he paid about $125 w/ shipping but it really works well and for some reason it drives more power to his amps, and it makes the sub much more powerful. anyway im gonna try to follow the how to guides, remove the head unit and ill try taking a picture that way we know what type of plug we're looking for. hopefully sometime tomorrow.

i can tell you right now the PAC AAI-GM24 will NOT WORK in your car. i made the same mistake and bought this thing for my grand prix. its made for GM trucks that have a tape deck mounted externally from the actual head unit.
i dont remember, but if the factory head units on cobalts have cd changer controls, then you could look at getting something like this: http://peripheralelectronics.com/web/home.asp
using the ipod2car for your ipod or the aux2car for any other mp3 player...i have the ipod 2 car in my grand prix and it works amazingly, i couldnt ask for more.
