MP3 player questions (stock hu)

So i'm trying to get mp3 cd's to work in my car. I have gotten 1 cd to actually work and I can't figure out why the other ones don't. Yesterday I even tried to make a DVD MP3 cd thru the burning program Nero, (which I had 4 gigs of music on) and the cd player always says reading disk for a few seconds then says check disk. Is there only a certain amount of songs it can read or something? Someone help me out! Thanks

I don't think the unit can read a DVD, just CD.

I've used mp3 CDs in mine from new and they work great. I use 192Kb bit rate and get about 8 hours=200 songs on each CD. In the manual it says it will only read something like 250 folders.

In Nero you have to make a data CD, not an audio CD. Works great for me!

Good Luck

Another thought: My brother uses software that converts his mp3s to variable bit rate and I don't know if our players can play that, never tried it. There is a list of bit rates this will read in the manual.
