MTX Blue Thunder Subs: opinions wanted...
I just acquired a 12" MTX Blue thunder sub in a box for $20.00. Sub is in real nice condition as well as the box looks new. Never had them before are they junk or decent? Its a temporary fix till I can replace it with a JL Audio sub. Can you recommend an amp to decently run it? It's just one sub. Thanks!

Thats what everyone uses those subs for, "just until I get my ____"
That sub is old school, and wasnt know for being able to take alot of punishment, check it with a multi meter see if its blown.
I don't recoment running more than 150-200 watts into it and don't play it for extended periods of time, A Blue Thunder 10" was the first sub I ever saw go up in smoke, back when they were so popular, like the Dr Crankenstiens, and everyone blew them up.
They did sound alright for the quality of the sub, when of course they were still in working order,
