my deck

just to be shure all i need to get is a malabu kit and harnes to put a deck in my 06 ss with the pioneer speakers

i will look for that tomarow
if that is what i need

i am new to cobalts just yesterday i traded my 2000 sunfire for the 2006 ss 2.4 red

and i want my deck in so i can mount my sirius radio to the dash with no holes in the car

any mor info would be cool

there have been SO MANY threads on this that you should have no problem searching it out. I don't want the big debate started again about the data retension harness. a little hint, don't waste your money cause you don't need it. Yes I think the malabu harness is the one you need.

You will need the following part #s:

40-GM10 (To retain your FM radio) ~$6
99-3302 (To mount the unit in the dash) ~$15
70-2103 (Wiring harness, nothing special) ~$15

You will need to wire an ignition wire to the radio from an ignition source such as the ignition harness, fuse box, etc. If you have OnStar and want to retain it then you will need the Metra part # 99-3303 for around $150.
