no a slot port can sound just as good.but pvc is much easier and faster to work with and tune in.
with just the elbows its tuned at 45hz.and when the full ports are slide in its tuned at 32hz.for that low ground breaking bass.

each amp benches at 2800Wrms @2ohm
running with a 16volt lowed.
im pushing 147.9db and hoping to hit the 150db by summers end.
so fare so good i haven lost a comp yet this year.

the over all setup is just under 700lb's
200lb's of that is just in copper wiring.
its a real gas killer.

what the? id think the ports would cancel out but numbers dont lie... What org you compete in?

16v eh... post some pics of that oh and why would you put a fuse after the cap?

street B-C
for SPL its the safest place for a fuse.and the more fuses in the tree the weaker the volts become.

ill dig up or take a pic of the volt readout.is that what you mean.?

not really putting it after the cap defeats most of its purpose. Technically the fuse is there to protect your wire but it also would protect the amp since its not fused internally

sorry man.
im using 2 marine high/discharge batteries.with to 5 farad voltage sensitive capacitors tuned at 16volt.

most capacitors are voltage sensitive if you take the top off you'll find a small dial to tweak the volts.
you would be surprised how much better your amps will run with a higher volt.but be sure the amps your using is capable of a lowed higher then 14.4V
the ZX models im using now will do a 17volt lowed.
im having a second alternator installed over the winter that runs 16volt with a voltage regulator built into it.made by powermaster

this is why my fuses are at the end of the lines.i dont care about alts batteries or cables.just the amps.

lol i bet you would care if the wires caught your car on fire but we

oh and yes my second alt is an externally regulated ohio gen hooked up to 2 kinetik 16v batteries... no need for a cap running at 18.8v with more then enough power

nice man.
how much did you pay for your kinetik 16v batteries.
im looking to buy a set of the powermaster D1000's in 16V
i can get a price break if i order both bats and a xsvolt alt at the same time.but if its a large price difference i might go with the kinetik bats.

what are your volt readouts at the amps when under a heavy lowed.holding stable around the 16V range.

but as for the car....lut the bitch burn.ill have a great video to post.

O and i love the job you did on your door pods.they look mint.

well i paid dealer price on the kinetiks so by far cheaper then the powermasters

I really haven't pushed it hard just yet. Ive only had the alt running the past few days and wired up just today. I really don't think ill see much of a voltage drop but 16.6 is a good estimate of the by far worst i would see. the kinetiks sit right at 17v fully charged and even running at 1krms i wouldnt have it all the way up all the time

Oh btw you might be able to get a price break if you mention your a competitor and talk to gus at ohio gen

X2, have both pvc's facing up, or both facing down. but having them like that is throwing the sound waves right against eachother. you could EASILY get another 30% in DBs by having them in the same direction

i tried firing in all directions.that was the end result that gave the best numbers.
but they don't actually fire right into each other.they are under/over.one is firing over top of the other.im working one a new set of boxes now.that are built a bit differently and a bit smaller.
i should have mentioned that that was a pic from the start of the summer.ill post the new one once its in and tuned.

thanks
ill call and have a chat with them. thanks
my friend got a 300amp alt from them this spring.it showed up a dud.they sent him a second alt free of charge and told him to keep the first one.
thats the type of people i like working with.
