why the hell would you mix type x with type r? to be honest, alpine 6x9 type r's are terrible..... as are all 6x9, and personnally alpine amps are not that great either.... def. not for the money they cost, nice deck though

There might be a problem
I had dual Alpine type-R 12" subs in my 87 camaro powered by California 450 amps. They would make any womans b**bs bounce......... Dont know about the 10s but I am sure they are great two, the only way to power subs is threw their own mono amps, you are going to lose Ohms if you try to connect two subs to one amp, they still will sound great but not as loud has and deep has they could be. You want 1 Ohm and the setup you will get is 2 Ohm at best if you brigde......... And again, nice deck....... I shop at crutchfield for my audio products....... Where did you get all this equiment??

I agree 100%.
Getting an Alpine Deck **Great Idea**
Alpine Speakers **Not so good**
Alpine Components **Crap**
Alpine Amp's **Not Good At All**
Alpine Sub's **Might As Well Bought Circuit City Brand l**
The one nice thing about the Alpine Amps with the Alpine deck is that you can control the amp's gain thru the head unit. Otherwise, they are crap.
You could have saved yourself a **** load of money with going with an all in one screen-dvd-nav unit.
Personally, I like the Pioneer. I had the D1 Screen, but just upgraded to the Z1 because of the built in bluetooth, dvd player, and single Nav DVD XM and Sirius Not Either/Or. But the best part is, with the Pioneer, it's all in one, no brain to hide

Dude. Do you know anything about quality audio?
Especially since he got all of it from one company, it will sound amazing.

Alpine is a good budget company. A step up from paper cones and foam surrounds found in most cars. But Uber high end they are not. They arent' even middle of the road. SUre it'll soudn better than stock. But great? Hardly.

just cause its all one company doesnt mean its gonna sound good, they make nice head units, i had that deck, but i traded it in for my kenwood
i have a set of ample audio components that would blow you away, im a big fan of their high end got a 1200rms mono block powering 2 12" alphasonik 800's it gets loud, lemme tell ya, but i've never liked how an all 'sony' or lol 'pioneer' system sounds,
its all about preference. or how loud and clean you want it to be, me i like loud and clean
too bad i cant fit all this in my car

I love alpine and have had nothing but good experiances with them, and i have gone through lots of systems. I wanted to keep everything alpine, mainly because i got everything at wholesale. The 6x9 types R will be fine, who cares there 6x9s anyways. The type X speakers are wicked clear. And i went with 10s instead of 12s because i didnt want the monsterous bass you get with 12s.
Minus the head unit and the nav the set up only cost me 1450.00 canadian. 1294 american

just so we're clear alpine is great quality **** especially the type x speakers not the best but for the money they kick ass sure focal and rainbow would be the best but who can afford that are you going to help him pay for it no so shutup and he said he got a kick ass deal probably cheaper than any of you can get without working for an audio company stop being so damn negative. and one more thing if you fon't know what kind of speakers those are you should not even respond to this thread.

Bro, who cares whatb ppl say. I say, Performance Matters.
If it sounds good, and performs well, and your happy, who cares! I don't know much about sound as I'm more of a Go>Show>Sound guy, but if I saw a whole ALPINE sys, Id be like, wow, thats awesome!
good luck with that either way, and MAKE SURE U GET SOME DYNOMAT. I used to work at Best Buy in Car Audio, its def worth it!
