Need help just installed Pioneer AVIC-F700BT dash
I just installed the Pioneer Avic-F700Bt head unit everything works good but is there anything I can buy to get the controls on my steering wheel to work with the after market dash?
Also this new dash has Bluetooth capabilities my car is a 2008 cobalt lt2 i have onstar but never had bluetooth is there a way to cut the onstar mic cord and run it to the new radio so i can use that as my main mic for calls or maybe split the wire so i can still use onstar an also use to the bluetooth radio?
This new dash also has options for XM radio which i use to have with my old head unit is there a way to get that to work with this dash or do i have to buy that xm pricey kit for it?

ya xm is built into the car but the new radio has no way to decode the stock tuner. you must buy a new tuner and parts and install them and activate to get sat radio again.
as fas as the mic goes just run the new mic and call it a day. If you want to get creative you can try and put the new mic behind the plate for the old one and it might work but idk if thats possible or not. while you can cut and splice the mic cord and splice it in its not worth the risk if it doesn't work. You would need to guess and get all 3 wires right and probably on the first shot. IDK what could or couldn't happen but worst case you blow the mic or the radio (and if you do blow the radio then i can guarantee pioneer wont warranty it)
onstar will only work if the harness you got is meant to retain onstar
steering wheel controls will only work if you get a swi-ps from pac audio or any other company to retain them but be forewarned its not easy to install them
