i bought no harness' for my double din. you need one for your steering wheel controls but not for your door chimes. i'm on an 05 ls. i hooked it up wire for wire without a harness.

damn that sucks how we have to buy an expensive wire for the steering controls to work,i guess im going to give it thought if its even worth buying that....i looked up harnesses from crutchfield and says none of the harness are compatible with my car,im guessing i dont need a wiring harness? just color match the wires?

Buy the regular harness that EmperorJJ listed, it will save you a lot of time and trouble, As far as the steering wheel controls, you can find the adapter you need on Ebay for a decent price. But if it's too much for you, it's not required. I would not hardwire your radio into the car though. If you spent good money for a double din, spend the $10 for the harness.

i agree. you can get the basic 10 dollar harness rather than cutting anything. i kind of wish i had done that since it took hours to figure out what each colour was. not something you really should mess around with. if i were you i would buy the harness, and if down the road you really miss your steering wheel controls that bad buy the module.
