If it were me I'd use a Low level to RCA line converter. Using the low level inputs on amps sucks ass IMO. In addition, using low level inputs leaves you no way to control your sub level except by adjusting bass levels which is crap . You can get a RCA line converter that has a level control to give you the ability to control the actual sound signal level going to your sub amp for better control. Also, the line converter can also give you a true remote wire vs having to connect an accessory wire to the remote input on the amp. Thats what I'd do if it were me and I was keeping the stock H/U.

I'm still confused. Right now I've got an aftermarket head unit connected to my amp thru rcas and a remote wire spliced into the stock remote wire. I'm just looking to get rid of the stock pioneer 10" so it sounds better and I've got more power to work with.

Alrighty then.
Welp, I got my car back from the shop and I've got two fancy new cvr12's in a ported box
But they're bring powered by my RF p3001 not the 800a. Apparently it "powers on but there is no audio output. So it's basically a paperweight."
Oh, well. The guy quoted me a "hifonics crunch gtr" amp for $220.

Well the 800a2 was sitting in my buddy's basement for a while. The shop bench tested it and said it powers on but there is no audio output
But yeah the cvr's are 4ohm now.

W3's are pretty descent, nice clean tight bass. You should find out if they are a dual 2 ohm model or the dual 4 ohm model. If they are the dual 2 ohm model they won't work very well on the amp you mentioned.
User manual for that amp is here: Lanzar - MAXP2760 - 2000 Watts 2 Channel High Power Mosfet Amplifier
Specs look OK. Says it should be about to do about 750RMS x 1 @ 4 ohms bridged. That power level is good to use with the W3's.
Cheapest I could find mint 12w3's around me was $125 so that amp for $50 is a good deal.
Can you take a pic of the box you have? Measure the outside dimensions and the length and diameter of the port?
Ported boxes are more sensitive to swapping out the sub, they are designed specifically for the sub they intended to be put in it.
