Need Help.. Problem with amp
Well I'm installing the system into my SS.
I installed the video screen perfectly with no problems and hooked up the factory amp to the amp turn-on so the speakers work and everything. But I can't get my Hifonics BXi2006D to work. I have 0/1 power and ground wires. Now I ran the REM wire to the same blue/white wire on the deck that I hooked the factory amp too, but I get nothing when the deck is on or the key is turned.. only from the speakers.
Yesterday when I was trying to get it to work the light on the bass boost remote was lit up but the amp wasn't.. but today nothing is working except the deck and speakers. I thought I might have a blown fuse on the amp but I can't seem to find a fuse on the amp I even opened it up. I also checked the voltages at the amp from the battery and ground and they are good..
Could my brand new amp be toast?

Never did check the voltage on the blue remote wire on the deck, but its the same wire that the factory amp turn on is connected too and all my speakers work so i'm asumming it's getting voltage.

where did you ground it, make sure you scraped off all the paint under where you grounded it if you went to the body. use a test light to make sure you have a power and ground and remote turn on signal.

Did you check the voltage at the remote wire terminal of the amp? That's where I would start. Could test it by running a jumper wire from the battery hot terminal to the remote terminal to see if it turns on......

I did run a wire from my REM port of my amp and touched it to the positive terminal on the battery and still got nothing.. is this what you mean?

is the power and ground connected to the correct place on the AMP...sounds dumb but many times I've seen this....
then make sure the connection to the rem line at the radio and the amp is good. (did you connect to the Rem out on the deck or the power anteanae?)
Best test is to put the remote wire to the bat + and see if it plays....
is the Sub output turned on on the radio, are the RCA's plugged into the out on the radio and the input on the Amp, and where are all the Amp settings at?
that was one of my suggestions too....at that point, check the plus and minus connected to the Amp it self, and if there correct and the meter reads correctly across them, then the amp is toast.

Done and the connections are in the right spots, and they are all getting the correct voltages.. This really sucks.. I've had these subs since January and I'm dying to hear them, and get some bass in the balt.. This is a brand new amp too
